Montessori first, with a clear structure
Our Elementary program follows a Montessori-based grid curriculum. Montessori leads: children learn hands-on, follow their curiosity, and work at the pace that fits them. Our grid curriculum, rooted in Montessori, gives that learning a clear structure from one grade to the next.
For families, this means the best of both. Your child keeps the independence and love of learning that Montessori builds, with a clear path through Grades 1 to 6.
Small classes, so every child is known
Our Elementary classes run at a teacher-to-student ratio of 1:10 to 1:13. In a class this size, no child gets lost in the middle. Teachers know each child's strengths, where they need support, and what will spark their interest.
Our Elementary teacher, Ms. Mirjana, works alongside assistant teacher Mr. Ameen, who also leads chess, Art, field trips and cooking with the children.
Movement every day, in our gym
One thing that sets Alive apart: we have an on-site gym and a full-time Physical Education teacher, Ms. Anastasiia. Physical education is part of every Elementary day, not an occasional extra. Children build strength, coordination and confidence, and come back to the classroom ready to focus.
More than core subjects
An Elementary day at Alive also includes Art, Music, French, Dance, Drama, cooking, gardening, public speaking and chess. These are included in the Elementary program. (Private piano, coding and gymnastics lessons are separate add-ons.) Children discover what they love, and they practice skills they will use for life: speaking up, working with others, and finishing what they start. We are a school where learning truly comes Alive!
